The Wakefield Herb Gathering is a Rain or Shine Event!

Here is what you need to bring:

a lawn chair or blanket for sitting
water bottle
snacks
lunch
hat - and don't forget your botanical bonnet for the contest!
cash for vendors - cell reception is not guaranteed
appropriate dress for the weather
notebook and pen
a cup for tea
your fire cider creation for the fire cider contest
babe in arms welcome

What to Leave at Home

This is a pet-free event. Please leave your furry friends at home.
This event is not suited to children, so we ask that you leave your children at home. Children 12 and up who are interested in attending the workshops may do so with parental supervision at all times.
This is a garbage-free event. Whatever garbage you bring you must leave with, so come prepared to do so.

Fun and Games at the Gathering

Botanical Bonnets

Bring your botanical bonnet already blooming or decorate you sun hat while you are at the gathering. Then, model your bonnet for the judges, and you may win a prize.

Fire Cider Tasting and Contest

Bring a sample of your best Fire Cider recipe for the taste testing contest. To learn how to make your Fire Cider, click here.

Medicine Plant Scavenger Hunt

Everyone is invited to participate in the search for the many medicinal plants growing on the land hosting the gathering. Bring your phone to make pictures of the plants and maybe win a prize.
